On Friday, October 6 and Saturday, October 7, eight Central New York DJs will compete head-to-head for the ultimate prize of being crowned Resident DJ for NY Rec & Social Club, Turning Stone’s newest sports lounge and nightlife destination. Turning Stone is relying on guests to help make the final decision on its first-ever Resident DJ by asking guests to vote for their favorite. DJ performances begin at 9:00 p.m. both nights.
Oneida Indian Nation Homelands (October 5, 2023) – As Turning Stone prepares for the highly-anticipated December grand opening of NY Rec & Social Club, eight Central New York DJs will crank it up at Exit 33 this weekend as they compete for the ultimate prize of being named the resort’s first-ever Resident DJ. Turning Stone is asking guests to help crown the winner by voting for their favorites during this weekend’s performances.
With a reputation as Upstate New York’s premier entertainment destination, DJs from across the region submitted their demos for a chance to be crowned Resident DJ – and eight finalists were selected. Finalists will compete live in a head-to-head battle at Turning Stone this weekend to determine who the ultimate mix master is and who will become NY Rec & Social Club’s Resident DJ. In addition to searching for a Resident DJ, NY Rec & Social Club will also be hosting open auditions for bartenders, servers and other exciting nightlife positions this weekend. Ideal candidates will have an outgoing personality. No experience is required as people hired will receive on the job training alongside Turning Stone’s award-winning team that has redefined the dining and nightlife experience in Upstate New York.

NY Rec & Social Club will be the first venue to open as part of Turning Stone’s $370 million evolution and represents the most significant addition to the Exit 33 entertainment complex since Turning Stone opened it 10 years ago.
The Lounge with Caesars Sportsbook will move to NY Rec & Social Club, offering guests a more playful nightlife and dining experience that combines a sophisticated restaurant lounge with a traditional sports book. NY Rec & Social Club will have a speakeasy vibe that is eclectic and energetic and is designed to be a fun place to socialize with friends. The bar, located in the center of the main room, will feature crystal chandeliers and will serve a variety of signature cocktails. NY Rec & Social Club will also have 60 high-definition television screens for sports viewing.
In the former location of LAVA, the new venue will also feature table games, such as blackjack, social games including foosball, shuffleboard, pool and darts. NY Rec & Social Club can accommodate seating for nearly 200 guests on the first-level with additional seating on the expansive outdoor patio. The upper level can be reserved for private events.
