Oneida Indian Nation Homelands (September 25, 2024) – With peak salmon fishing season just days away, anglers can enjoy private access to a beautiful 36-acre fishing destination at Salmon Acres this October. Bookings are available now with convenient day passes that provide sunrise-to-sunset access to 1,500 feet of private waterfront on the Salmon River, Central New York’s top salmon fishing destination.

Starting in late September and reaching its peak throughout October, this is the perfect time of year to catch King, Coho and Atlantic salmon, steelhead and brown trout in the region’s top fishing waters. Day passes allow guests to take advantage of a fully private waterfront away from crowded public fishing areas and just 30 minutes outside of Syracuse, New York. A day pass also includes exclusive access to Clark Falls, the Salmon River’s only waterfall, and all 36 acres of the preserve, where guests can enjoy the stunning beauty of fall in Central New York. During their visit, day pass holders can take advantage of amenities like picnic tables, grills and more and a full selection of rental gear including waders, rods, bait and other essentials. Golf carts are also available for rental to make navigating the property easy.

For those planning a longer fishing excursion, overnight stays are also offered. Salmon Acres is home to 11 cabins, all fully heated, equipped with cable TV and outfitted with linens and toiletries for the duration of every stay. Six of the cabins include full kitchens, while five offer convenient kitchenettes.
“Salmon Acres is one of the best places in all of Central New York to fish,” said Grant Goulart, Director of Recreation for Turning Stone Enterprises. “The fishing’s good, the scenery is beautiful and it’s totally private. It’s like fishing at your own exclusive club. With us, you feel like you have the entire river to yourself.”
