The expansion, estimated to be more than $50 million by the Nation, comes in response to incredible demand from Point Place Casino guests and the surge of growth occurring throughout Central New York.
Oneida Indian Nation Homelands (February 14, 2024) – The Oneida Indian Nation yesterday announced that Point Place Casino will undergo a large-scale expansion in the coming months that will double its gaming floor, add a brand-new hotel and more. This expansion comes in response to the demand from guests for additional amenities at Point Place Casino, as well as the explosive growth and economic development occurring across Central New York.

More Gaming Fun
Point Place Casino’s gaming floor will double in size during the expansion, giving guests more ways to enjoy the excitement of gaming.
New Hotel
The expansion will include a brand-new, multi-story hotel with 100 guest rooms and 8 luxurious suites. Inside a beautiful lobby area, guests will enjoy a Perfect Pour Cafe satellite location, while a spacious event area will accommodate meetings, celebrations and other gatherings.
More Dining Choices
A new restaurant will offer guests delicious American grill-style fare, while popular dining venue The Burgers of Madison County will add breakfast service alongside its existing lunch and dinner menus.
A Reinvention of The Fireside Lounge
Already a beloved local hotspot, the Fireside Lounge will double in size, adding an expanded bar area and creating a 360-degree view of its wood-burning fireplace. New cozy seating will make the lounge an even more inviting place for guests to enjoy a specialty cocktail, craft beer or wine around the glowing fire.
The Oneida Indian Nation has anticipated the need for this expansion project for some time, with the popularity of Point Place Casino rapidly outgrowing its existing space. Since its creation in 2018, when the casino opened to overnight lines of excited guests eager to be among the first to enter, visitors have requested lodging to accommodate weekend trips, additional dining options, expanded choices in gaming and more.
Now, as the region flourishes in a period of rapid development, Point Place Casino’s expansion will offer the new amenities and opportunities needed to meet this rising demand today and in the years to come.

News of the expansion was first shared yesterday by Oneida Indian Nation Representative and Turning Stone Enterprises CEO Ray Halbritter with a select group of Point Place Casino team members in appreciation of all the team has done to make this transformation possible. In addition to its investments in capital projects at Point Place Casino, this expansion is also an investment in the Nation’s workforce, one of the largest in the region. Construction related to the expansion is estimated to create 250 construction and permanent full-time and part-time jobs.
The expansion of Point Place Casino continues the Oneida Indian Nation’s historic track record of investments in its enterprises and communities throughout Central New York, the site of its ancestral homelands. In addition to the announcement of the largest evolution of Turning Stone Resort Casino in two decades this summer, major recent capital investment projects from the Nation include the creation of The Lake House at Sylvan Beach in 2020 and the grand opening of The Cove at Sylvan Beach, a lakeside vacation destination, in 2021. With these investments in capital spending and workforce development, the Oneida Indian Nation continues its commitment to the economic success and well-being of all who live and work in the communities of Central New York.
